Group Lessons

Will I learn to read and write Japanese?

Yes, but only to a basic level. Group classes mainly focus on improving conversation skills. Our Absolute Beginner courses teach students how to read and write the all important hiragana and katakana scripts.

We run occasional special classes to teach kanji characters. Students can also book private classes to focus on reading or writing skills.

Do I need to buy a textbook?

There is no requirement to buy a book for either our private or group lessons. We make our own lesson material and provide free resources for students to study at home. If students wish to study a textbook, we can make recommendations. The Genki textbooks make excellent resources that supplement the material we study in class.

How long are courses?

Currently all our online group courses last 12 weeks. We currently have 20 different levels from Absolute Beginner to Upper Intermediate. Students can progress one level at a time. We run different level courses throughout the year. Please contact us to find out which current course would suit you best.
